Haven Care exists because families navigating care decisions deserve honest, straightforward help finding the right facility during one of the most important transitions of their lives.
I spent most of my career as a firefighter and paramedic in the Chicago area. I responded to hundreds of emergency calls, many of them in care facilities of all kinds. I saw firsthand the difference between facilities that truly cared for their residents and those that did not.
What I also witnessed were families making critical care decisions with almost no real information. They were handed brochures, pointed to referral sites that collected commissions, and left to figure out one of the most consequential choices they would ever make.
Haven Care is a nationwide directory of supported living centers, assisted living facilities, residential care homes, and adult care homes. All data comes directly from the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services database. It is completely free for families to use.
